Current Vacancy: Business Development and Marketing Executive

Location: 10 Miles, Off Great North Road, Lusaka
Type: Full-Time, Onsite

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development and Marketing Executive to lead growth efforts, drive student enrolments, and expand our brand presence. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a dynamic individual who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and implement effective marketing campaigns.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to boost course enrolments and brand visibility.

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and institutional collaborations.

  • Manage customer relationships, negotiate deals, and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Execute digital marketing campaigns (social media, SEO, email, and online ads).

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide business strategies.

  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and performance reports.

  • Manage and grow Shumba Training Centre’s online presence and outreach platforms.

  • Track KPIs and provide insights to achieve revenue and enrolment goals.


Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, or a related field (a diploma with relevant experience may be considered).

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in sales, marketing, or business development (experience in the education/training sector is an added advantage).

  • Work Arrangement: This is a physical, onsite role based at our office in 10 Miles, Off Great North Road, Lusaka. Applicants must be willing to work from this location.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

    • Knowledge of digital marketing tools (social media, SEO, email campaigns).

    • Familiarity with CRM or marketing platforms is an added advantage.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong sales acumen and ability to close deals.

    • Analytical mindset with ability to prepare and interpret reports.

    • Creative and innovative approach to marketing.
